Lesson Eight on MAYA: Start from scratch.

In this lesson, we have to create a fish in a fish tank/glass with water, all from scratch. We learnt a new way of assigning the material to the glass that make it look even more realistic.

The intended design: Fish in a Champagne glass.

Final decision: Fish in a fish bowl.

Lesson Seven on Illustration:

On this lesson, we try to design a Menu paying attention to the detail of layout design, and examine how the menu can be presented in a single fold spread with a cover design of dimension 150mm by 250mm. For this work, we are to work it on Adobe InDesign CS4.

Lesson Seven on MAYA: 3D Logo.

The original logo for this was suppose to be in 2D create on Illustrator. After making the 2D logo, we convert it into a 3D logo with colours added to it. For the final work, we are suppose to animate the logo by creating a motion path and attach the camera to it. When we batch render the logo, the video will be in the camera perspective and the logo should be turning.

Lesson Three on MAYA: Assign New Material.

On this lesson, we were given the following 3D objects and our task is to assign the texture according to the object. For different object, different material assigned to the object to make it look more realistic.

A Dining Table: Mahogany wood with glass table top.

Wine Glass: Glass with transparency.

Ceiling Fan: Matt white material with lights that glow.

Dinning Chair: Mahogany wood with red cushion.

Floor Carpet: Red Persian design.

China Plate: Bone white with blue motif

First Lesson on MAYA: 3D Toy Bird.

This is the first I am using the software: MAYA. In this lesson, we only need to use the basic polygon shapes to create the toy bird. After that we will add colours to the toy bird using only 3 colours: Red, Blue and Green.

Lesson Three on Illustration: Composite Photograph.

Lesson third require us to edit several photos then put them together to make it into one image. For this work, we are to work it on Adobe Photoshop CS4. We took photos of the team members, remove the background and put it into the cup image.

Lesson Two on Illustration: Photo Manipulation.

The second lesson on Illustration is about Photo Manipulation using Adobe Photoshop CS4. On the original photo edit it to have the effects of a haunted house. To achieve this, several elements have to be emphasised, such as the colour, texture of the house and atmosphere of the environment.
